Newly Added Sanctions Ban U.S. From Providing Accounting Services to Russia

In the latest round of United States Sanctions on Russia, the new penalties that target Moscow are now involving Accounting and Consulting Services, as the United States has placed a ban on U.S. accounting and consulting firms from providing any sort of service to Russia.

U.S. & Allies Strategy Meeting

Following Russia’s Military celebration parade that they hold to celebrate the end of World War II, the United States and their allies have decided to step up their game when it comes to sanctioning Russia. The celebration Russia held is believed to be a strategy to gain public support for their invasion of Ukraine.

Leaders from Seven different nations along with President Biden met virtually with the Ukrainian president and the seven nations pledged to either phase out or completely ban Russian oil imports, an action that was already taken by the United States and Britain.

U.S. Entities Banned From Russia

According to a statement that was put out by the White House, all U.S. entities will be banned from providing corporate formation, accounting, and management consultant services to any Russian entity. Legal services were not mentioned in the statement.

The Same statement from the White House also said they will be imposing new export controls on all industrial engines as well, which include motors, fans, bulldozers, and ventilation equipment.

The U.S. also plans to sanction 8 Russian executives from Sberbank and an additional 27 from Gazprombank, which is the financial branch of Russian energy company Gazprom.
