Bookkeeper

Position Title: Bookkeeper
Reports To: Senior Accountant
Effective Date: June 2020
Supervises: N/A
Type/Hours: Full Time
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

The purpose of the position is to provide support to the Firm’s NFP/Financial Services department with general client bookkeeping duties while being responsible for confidential and time-sensitive material.

Job Responsibilities

  • Proven bookkeeping experience
  • Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles
  • Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
  • Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers
  • Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software
  • Proficiency in English, Quickbooks and in MS Office
  • Customer service orientation and negotiation skills
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • BS degree in Accounting or Business Administration

Requirements

  • Knowledge of Quickbooks, Microsoft Excel, Word & Outlook
  • Economics and Accounting — Knowledge of economic and accounting principles and practices, the financial markets, banking and the analysis and reporting of financial data.
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting or Business Administration
  • 1 -2 years of proven bookkeeping experience
