James Dunne, CPA, worked for over 40 years to develop his own private accounting practice before finding its permanent home with DSJCPA in April of 2020. Jim is a proud alumnus of both Queens College and St. John’s University (MBA). After graduation Jim, landed his first job with a major CPA firm, and earned his CPA in a short span of time. After a few years of working with various Fortune 500 companies, Jim settled down on Long Island and established his accounting practice in 1983; he became a sole practitioner in 1996. Since then, he has gained a large clientele of high net-worth individuals coming primarily from the financial services industry.

Jim is excited to provide his clients with new opportunities at DSJCPA. Over the years, he has developed close relationships with many of his clients and looks forward to continue serving them while growing his practice.

An avid golfer, Jim played for 20 years for the Metropolitan New York Lesley Cup team. He remains involved in the golfing community here on Long Island, acting as Treasurer for some local golf associations.
